You own the data in your account profile.

  • You may delete your account at any time. The system will retain no memory of it.
  • Your data is secure. This site uses current best practices, storing your profile in a secured database.
  • Only your user name is ever exposed to other users, and then only when you add a comment. Your user name is used as signature for your comments.
  • Your data is never sold to anyone, or used for any advertising purpose, etc.

Comments are, of course public, and are signed with your user name. You may edit or delete your own comments until someone else replies to your comment. A comment that has been replied to cannot be changed or deleted. This keeps discussions in the comment threads sensible.

If you delete your account after adding comments the name that appears as the comment signature will no longer be related to your user name. Instead your comments will be signed by "inactive user," or similar phrase.

You may change your user name stored in your profile. If you do this the signature in your comments changes to match your new user name, even for old comments.
